National Library of Medicine (NLM) Adds Borealis, the Canadian Dataverse Repository to Dataset Catalog (Beta)
From the National Library of Medicine Technical Bulletin:
The National Library of Medicine (NLM) has recently added a new repository to the Dataset Catalog, a catalog of biomedical datasets from selected publicly available repositories.
Based on feedback from users, NLM will gradually add new repositories to the initial four — dbGap, Dryad, ImmPort, and Harvard Dataverse — during the beta phase. The first new repository to be added is Borealis, The Canadian Dataverse Repository.
It is a bilingual, multidisciplinary, secure, Canadian research data repository, supported by academic libraries and research institutions across Canada. Borealis participates in open harvesting of metadata, which means public datasets are discoverable through tools such as Google Dataset Search and now, the Dataset Catalog.
Additional Repositories Will Be Added Through July, Read the Complete Blog Post to Learn More
