SSOCS collects detailed information on crime-related topics from the perspective of schools, including the frequency of school crime and violence, disciplinary actions, the presence and activities of school security staff, and school practices related to the prevention and reduction of crime. More information on new and expanded topics available in the SSOCS:2016 data file can be found in an NCES blog, found here. A First Look report using SSOCS 2015–16 data was released in 2017 and can be found here.
With this release, researchers outside NCES will be able to generate estimates of their own.

The tables show age of householder and partner, race of householder, interracial couples, labor force participation, educational attainment, presence of children, household income, and homeownership.
