Now on Facebook: National Archives Center for Advanced Systems and Technologies (NCAST)
NCAST addresses three major needs for NARA:
Expand the scope of the advanced technology research to a broader, NARA-wide perspective – Identifying, exploring, and evaluating new developments in computer science and related fields that are likely to impact the lifecycle management of records;
Applied research and exploratory development – Inaugurating a new applied research program that brings the best new technologies and methods into NARA; and
Knowledge for NARA – Transferring knowledge that we have acquired by partnering with other NARA offices to identifying the specific types of expertise and skills that staff need to do their work.
