Research Works Act Legislation is Dead
First, the news earlier today that Elsevier was pulling its support for the RWA.
Now, this news from Alexander Howard: “RIP Research Works Act”
I just received a joint statement from Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa and Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney, regarding H.R. 3699, the Research Works Act. Here’s the too long/didn’t version that I just tweeted: they will not be taking legislative action on the bill.
